Antibotter, with respect to the earnings of mermaid marine (i.e the pre Jaya Australian business) excluding the LNG boom. Effectively we would be turning back the clock to the 2006 business which made 10m profit on 70m revenues?
It's quite startling that the business in 2015 made 50m NPAT on 700m revenues.
Some of that is Jaya, some the LNG. It's really a very rapid expansion though.
The answer I really need is what the revenues will look like going foward.
Pluto and Gorgon are finished from the construction side right but Prelude, Icthys and Wheatstone are ongoing to mid 2017. How much revenue/margin are we getting from construction vs operations is the really interesting question that i should answer.

As an investor and an engineer "ground breaking" projects are something I never want my companies involved in. Floating LNG is the kind of crazy idea we love but accountants should have put the kaibosh on.
Icthys coming to completion in third quarter 2017.

MMA have purpose built the Brewster and the Plover to service the production with long term 5 year plus contracts is that correct?
People seem very emotional about their investments. At the end of the day it's all about the numbers.
How does the shareprice look relative to the earnings? That's the only answer we need.
At this price MRM could never make a profit again and still prove a good investment.
I have bought a lot of real dirty dogshit companies things no one in their right mind would touch with a bargepole. Now and then if you don't mind the smell you may find something that has been overlooked.
People have a tendency to overreact in these situations. Buying off them is the most successful investing strategy of all time.
It's also worked very well for me personally.
So don't tell me MRM stinks, yeah I know of course it does. The question is how badly it stinks and if the market has over (or under?) reacted.
