S2R did explore the paleo channels, but apparently mining the resource is not of interest to them at this time. Perhaps someone else who has a nearby plant will, when they need the feedstock.

As for Carlin - I am sure you know that the early Carlins outcropped and were relatively easy to find once the type of rock which hosted the ultra fine grained gold was identified - The gold did not pan you recall.
Now all the Carlins which are found are blind and it is mainly by stratigraphy that they are discovered. Why do you think the team who found Nova should not have the blind exploration skills for this job, certainly the local project initiators seem to think they have.

This is high risk, and since you are a non holding down ramper I suspect you will not want to take the gamble - I hope you stay in touch and see what happens.
