Whilst the take seems high on oil it would not be the same for gas. I had read what Orca's position is but cant remember the details.. it was certainly less (for gas).
Now that Aminex (and now KEY) has proven that it is committed to Tanzania it would be reasonable to expect that SSW would have been on better terms also.
The benefits of the area are fantastic though, terrific access to educated work force who want to work and dont cost the earth. Time is also exceptional as Tz want to become a major energy player in East Africa; they will do deals to make it happen. The benefits for them are that they can cut dependence on imports which need to be purchased on the open market.
Majors have showed they are interested by taking up leases also... it will be interesting to watch over the next 24 months as others will also need to start drilling.
