I don’t mind these big multi international companies coming into our markets taking sales away from national companies and family businesses, but they need to play by the same rules as everyone else.

Refusing to charge and pay gst, registering the business in Ireland and paying no tax is a joke and good on the government for trying to crack down on them. Government needs to go further with companies like Uber and air bnb who get unfair advantages they need to be pulled back and play within the same rules as every other Australian company.

That aside, Reading the article does sound like sigma could easily partner up with amazon and be their main distributor if they did get a stranglehold. Could be the reason why sigma are spending 100s of million on infrastructure DC’s.
