I bought and read Montgomery's book 'value-able'. Whilst there are some very good things in it, the valuation method and tables within it, are total bollacks. It was raised on his 'insights' blog countless times by people unable to get any where near his estimates of IV for companies. The 'required rate' used in his method seemed to change at a whim.
Though there was clear ramping before the 'sidekicks' came along, think ZGL, FGE, MCE, I noticed a marked increase of 'ramping' and contradictory postings on his blog with the arrival of the 'sidekicks', and ever changing valuation metrics, PE etc, that previously were explicitly ignored by Montgomery.
Again, the reason why I ignore them.
