"Copper mine or metal content in the ore production reached an estimated 32,600 metric tons (t)"
India is a joke if this is correct, it would mean that IRL's Surda Mine which produces about 3500 tonnes 0f Cu /year actually produces more than 10% of India's Cu production!!!!!
In Australia, a small miner like Straits Resources SRQ produces more than 30,000 tonnes pa at its Triton Mine, guess what the share price of SRQ is just over 1c.
According to this expensive $2000 publication theres a huge shortfall in India's Cu requirements currently about 700,000 tonnes annually, whats going to happen when the Modi Gov't starts connecting millions of poor Indians to the electricity grid? Hate to imagine how much Cu they'll need when they start buying TV's washing machines, refrigerators and airconditioners.
