I stumbled across this thread only because it was in the highly rated section. Most of you guys will be too young to have lived in the 60's... one reason it was a truly great time is... briefly... oh so briefly... it was fashionable to be nice to each other.

You have no experience of 'flower power'... the girls were all friendly... and there was a sense of optimism about the World. For a very brief moment in time [some] people came out of their ideological trenches.
