Things get so petty at this stage of proceedings.
Seen it all before.
Sad to see (probably) decent people behave like this.

Play the ball, not the man - that's what I was always taught.
Respect the other players - have a beer together after the game - don't take your grudges onto or off the field.
Seek out & listen to others that have alternate perspectives.
Don't just listen to those that reinforce your own perceptions and biases, it's high risk.
Don't bait others or let yourself stoop to be baited by others.
Don't argue with idiots - it only shows you up for being one yourself.
etc etc etc

Unfortunately I'm unable to say that I do all these things - but I aspire to.
