    Hi all,

Came across this one earlier today thanks to the chatter on the DT thread.

I've read through god knows how many posts over the last hour and a bit and I wanted your feedback on how I assume or what I hope the company has considered as a method for drawing cash out of the platform.

So, my most recent life saw me working in the marketing department for a large travel company. Part of our strategy is advertising our prices through what is called 'meta' channels. These are your skyscanners, kayak, orbitz etc comparison websites if you will - who take a cut of every transaction.

With such a crazy competitive industry like travel the only way to get ahead on these sites was to discount the prices and cut into your margins to create more demand - it meant your product would be displayed on top as the cheapest.

It didn't even need to be by much. All travel companies are selling the same product but need to actually sell to hit profit tiers and what not. So, sell a product $10 cheaper than the competition and sell 10 times as much.

How's this relevant to MDR? Well, most of the big pharmas have competing products I believe? The same principle above could apply no? I vaguely remember seeing a post about non-pharmacies not being able to take a cut of any revenue from sales, but this would be a referral commission or a paid place model (ie above a competitor) which I think would be ok?

Let me know if I am completely off the mark on this btw.
