Momentum builds behind hydrogen push
The highly unusual unanimous support across political parties and state and federal governments for Australia to realise its hydrogen ambitions has given the emerging industry a momentum that is getting international recognition, according to industry and government officials in the area.
Numerous hydrogen pilot and demonstration projects have been announced around the country in the past year, while several states have released hydrogen roadmaps, encouraged by findings by a strategy group headed by Chief Scientist Alan Finkel that the clean fuel could be the country's next multibillion-dollar export opportunity.
