You are correct. I do not want to down ramp anyone especially MOL. The company has done a great job getting this project as far as it has today.
The real issue they face moving forward (which they have encountered already) is the amount of value place on money post GFC and a depressed molybdenum price of $17.20 US/lb compared to $36.50 US/lb in Dec 2007.
This makes it a highly volatile commodity which investors treat with caution post GFC.
We are living in a different world now.
The costs associated with a process plant are always higher than companies predict and that is why in this present market it is so difficult to get a project like MOL up and running.
The $numbers are just not that attractive.
Whether people want to hear that or not is another matter.
