this rumour has been going around for a few moths now. i think it was in march that thomspson creek came out and said they are considering further moly acquisitions and MOL was touted as a suitor given their near term production possibility. it is realistic but imo thompson creek will look for something in their geographic region ie canada or america. there are a few good moly deposits there but none are as close to production as MOL. so, it comes down to if TC wants to expand beyond their geographic segment. bear in mind that for them australia is other side of the world and hast got a moly consumption market whereas north america has.
