Does anyone think we are currently in a news deficit from both MTR and MOD?

I had thought MTR was being quiet as a mark of respect for the Thai people after the death of King Bhumibol (and this may still hold true to some extent) but I think there's the possibility that something rather exciting is happening behind closed doors.

It's very interesting that both MTR and MOD have gone quiet together.

If the early stage discussions on a deal are currently being thrashed out both companies may be singing the same corporate tune of silence for a reason.

There are a lot of "may be's" here but also a distinct possibility that both companies are starting to take news management seriously.

I could understand the reason simply being that Alex Borrelli is a different person to Paul Johnson but that does not answer the question why MOD is silent too.

I had also expected further drilling news by now...
