My interest is simple and said before. No financial interest but I huge interest in environment and in green energy and energy and innovation in general. I researched this from very early on ( burns time) and saw potential but found huge gaps in the business which at times I partially express in regards to the wave energy and other aspects. I remain as a observer and occasionally comment when the bull .. crap gets to thick . I wouldn't be a investor till I saw some of the gaps initially identified filled. As you know I have disliked the fluff and this has turned out to be valid that it was fluff in hindsight but research had led me to that opinion early as there is some fundamental principals that haven't changed in engineering be that physical or financial. As I put a huge energy into initial research it is easy for me to keep abreast of most company issues and I see repetitive patterns that reinforce my thoughts rather than change them.
Can it be a sucess in wave energy. Well 20 years ago it was a big opportunity but other areas of technology like cheap solar , distributed energy networks, effeciency etc all are taking parts of the market so there has been a massive opportunity cost of slow development and implementation of technology of which a lot of cash invested has not gone to research but into peoples pockets IMO.
Will it ever get implemented anywhere on scale- gee I don't know what odds to give but it doesn't look good in terms of total cost of ownership and risk unless you are a windless small land area remote island that just happens to have no other viable options and then compete against floating solar and batteries as you don't have land area nor have access to liquid fuels , geothermal etc..
I still have doubts in their current other business and business model and manner of promotion of that irks me knowing the results they have produced to date.
They will either be a limited sucess for some late arrivals or be a disaster when they run out of gullible new money IMO unless things change significantly in the marketplace , in the world and in technology are my thoughts.
