I don't agree with your statement on both fronts, NPV is meaningful because if the moneywas spent to develop the project then the expectation is the project would unlock $2.39b in profit in todays $ which is a valuation of project. Its just an indication of its potential but I expect that valn to reduce in light of sovereign risk in Tanzania. Whether the funding is provided by MNS , an investor in exchange for a % of the project or the project is sold in its entirety is other matter.


MNA hasn't failed re finance - Sometimes projects are delayed for reasons outside of the companies control. Changes to the Mining legislation, Global financial crisis, credit crunch... and it is prudent for MNS and others to get clarity before placing shareholder funds at risk.
