What nonsense
@Riskon22,
Blowing BP's apparent involvement out of proportion difficult given Frank's comments at the time.
ASX announcement was entitled "Energy Giants Join Magnis to Develop German Gigafactory"
Frank interviewed by AFR Oct 2017 in article entitled:
Magnis Resources joins BP in German lithium-ion battery partnership
"BP is one of the members of the WiN Emscher-Lippe GmbH (WIN) partnership and Mr Poullas said the oil and gas major had taken on 'a massive role' in the project.'The energy and oil giants see they have to adapt and get involved in this space,' Mr Poullas said."
Energy giant in '
massive role' eh?
Sounded impressive.
So comical u now choose to play down BP's role when entirely opposite emphasis placed at the time by Magnis. Nine months on, with sp down 35%, and no mention whatsoever on BP websites of any direct involvement, we find energy giant openly backing another Li-B start-up to tune of $20M.
As for sole remaining broker, Bell Potter, they have this to say regarding battery plants:
"Additionally, while we do not attribute a specific valuation to the battery manufacturing operations, they continue to advance."
No valuation possible on non-existent battery plants eh?
Not sufficiently advanced.
As for NAIF, forget about it, question is whether Mayor's tour of Room 2226 finds operations sufficiently advanced to help release $3M feasibility funding for Townsville plant.
Wonder if Jenny Hill has time on flight to brush up on the competition from battery giants?
