My point is that MLT and other top-notch LICs are virtually certain to make net operating profits every year because they will always receive dividends/distributions from the stocks they own (even if certain companies withhold or reduce dividends). Thus when you consider that these LICs have plenty of cash in the bank, you need not worry about the sustainability of their own dividends to us.
