We’d like to share some exciting news: our next-generation platform Miya Precision is live for the first time anywhere in the world, with implementation at two MidCentral District Health Board (MDHB) sites in New Zealand. The platform has been used successfully since December and is being used to improve bed management and patient flow in 17 wards and the ED at Palmerston North Hospital, as well as two wards at Honowhenua Health Centre. We are providing real-time analytics across the DHB using data extracted from a large number of critical systems such as labs, radiology and clinical information systems. We are pleased to report very positive initial feedback from MDHB staff, who are delighted with the platform and found it has significantly improved patient management and flow at both sites.

Our contract with MDHB initially began with the plan to implement the previous Miya platform but due to delays required by the customer as they implemented a new PAS system it was decided we would implement the new generation Miya platform, once released. This announcement is non-material on its own. However, it is an important milestone for Alcidion as it not only demonstrates the growing need for fast, efficient healthcare data in real-time, it also highlights Alcidion’s proven strength in delivering this to the highest standard.
