Partnering with a government owned entity will protect us from any future socialists governments who may try to push nationalisation. Socialists in Chile have already been calling for nationalisation throughout this year. There was a bill that was set to make its way to the lower house after being approved by the Mining Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, but was later rejected by the Mining Council.

Nationalisation wont happen under the current government, but they cannot retain power forever. Maintaining a strong and positive relationship with the government is always invaluable in South America.
