whiteknightoz,
After the last round of excellent drilling results from Battler, I believe SXG were going to sit down and assess the situation with a view to continue deeper drilling.
As far as I am aware, drilling at SXG's tenements is ongoing. We should constantly get drill results over the next few months. As far as a timeframe for gold production by heap leach, at the AGM it was stated to be targeted for late this year.
As posted previously, from what I can gather, neither Battler or Dulcie were or are considered the best prospects. However, Battler is shaping up well.
To recap, the following from their last drilling announcement:
Once all assay re-splits are received, a geological resource estimate will be undertaken and infill and extension drilling planned.
Commenting on these results, SXGs Managing Director, Tony Truelove notes:
Battler Deeps is shaping up as a significant high grade gold target. The mafic/ultramafic host is different to the usual iron formation host in this district, and is known to host high grade mineralisation in other areas such as Mulgarrie and Wattle Dam. This style of mineralisation can have very high gold grades which are difficult to correlate in drilling but return good mining results. Additional drilling will be required to fully assess the target but the high grade intercept on the northernmost line tested is very encouraging.
