barney my view and my opinion only is

These new lic's do not really fit into the fiancial advisers business model.

If you look at fin planners they are trying to steer u too unlisted funds (so they can get trails) this is how they make money.

Brokers tend to want to buy and sell (this is how they get paid).

So with ctn brokers may feel if they invest in this for their clients they are missing brokerage, planners may feel they are missing trails.

Argo AFI etc fit in as they have very little management fee's ( as they just hold top 20 stock) planners and brokers tend to buy these for clients and then put then on a Wrap service (can be up to 2%) so it fits in with their model.

Hard to justify ctn on a wrap service as u are paying potentially 2% to ctn as a fee and maybe another 2% fee to the adviser. Client would be paying 4% per year

I would like to think as the market has more educated people in it that understand opportunites that the asset backing and share price will move closer.

When investing in this fund you need to remember also that the investments they hold can be very illiquid great for the nta when the share market is going up.

But if the market turns down quickly they may struggle to exit some positions effectively and efficiently
