"The EPA does not consider that an absolute ban is justified. An absolute ban would risk mean that the presence of uranium constitutes and obstacle to extract valuable minerals, for example in the case uranium is not until the dressing can be separated from the valuable mineral or in the case of uranium for technical reasons must be broken to access a deposit. An absolute ban could therefore result in valuable minerals that may be important from a societal perspective, such as metals used in BATTERY MANUFACTURING and RENEWABLE ENERGY such as WIND TURBINES, would not be possible to extract. Such a proposal could indirectly counteract the efforts to achieve the goal of energy agreement to 100 percent of electricity to be renewable by 2040... Although uranium is not a renewable energy source and that for this reason there are reasons not to extract uranium consider the Environmental Protection Agency still there, in an overall assessment of economic, environmental and social interests, is justified uranium is allowed to be recovered to the extent that the Environmental Protection Agency proposing and that an absolute prohibition is not justified."

"If the operator can demonstrate that it is technically necessary to extract the uranium bearing material in order to extract the second mineral may be authorised."

So it sounds to me like because AURA have a crap tonne of battery minerals, copper, cobalt, nickel, vanadium then they should be able to mine the deposit AND also recover and sell the uranium too. Certainly doesn't sound like a show stopper at this point.
