In a panel discussion on the challenges facing the region's energy clusters, Northvolt's Environment and Sustainability Manager Emma Nehrenheim was asked when the battery plant in Skellefteå could begin to build.
- ”We have informed the authorities that we hope to start building on May 15th. 2018.”
Jonas Ranggård, who is responsible for Boliden Mineral AB´s energy program, explains what's happening on the front of the mining company.
"We have now bought our first two battery-powered drill rigs to use in Garpenberg and in Tara Mine on Ireland. We also expect that such rigs will later be bought into the mines in the Skellefte field, "he says.
