How is CG taking a risk compared to people who have bought shares in the company. If his plan doesn't work out what is the worse outcome, he gets removed from the company. He leaves with X amount of shares, remuneration and most probably get a gig somewhere else and enjoys life. Shareholders on the other hand are left with shares that have gone down in value and their investment which they bought with hard earned money down X amount.
