Mgx m'ment & board would more than likely know of a $ 'range' for the Bi claim settlement - after all, they and their advisers have to essentially prepare the 'claim' for the respective insurers consideration and review.

The variables to their understanding of a $ range would include any underinsurance issues & penalties, technical calculation issues and then the various interpretations of all the insurers involved in the claim. So my 'guesstimate' is that they would probably know within a say, 15% to 25% range of the final settlement figure.

As auto said, once the claim is finalised, the announcement would be considered price sensitive (or at least we hope...!!) and would need to be made.
