Hi speccy, I understand you are not a fan of Hamish Collins or Paul Harris, and it is disconcerting to be invested in a company when you have misgivings about the managements capabilities or worse.
I hold 2 other companies at present which I have just written to recently, one of them has a "lifestyle" MD who has done nothing but live very well CR's over the last 8 years, whilst taking the company nowhere. This guy has not even been replying to shareholders emails and phone calls -- I threatened to go to ASIC (not that they would do much) if he didn't reply.
The other company has put forward a resolution for AGM to award directors millions of performance share and options and the company is actually making peanuts - that company is withdrawing some of those resolutions -- because many of the shareholders have made their feelings clear to management.
So I agree with you strongly that it is a good idea for shareholders to communicate regularly with company management, and if you are not happy with what they are doing let them know about it.
In some ways company management people can be a lot like politicians; in that, it is really easy to make plans with other peoples money, and then even easier to spend it.
