Thred have been chosen by Microsoft to be a "Key" startup partner in the consumer and mobile space. They will be working closely with Thred on integration of their products. That gets me excited.

The article gives us an insight into Microsofts vision for mobile. They have realised that by moving away from trying to compete with Apple & Samsung in the handset market they can position themselves to feed that market instead.

How? Microsoft are pushing for unification of the inner workings of the mobile communication market. Cross platform unification to offer to all Apple & Samsung devices and users. They are attempting to develop and implement the stuff of fairy tales.. Convergence across a single platform linking everybody from one central hub.

Thred looks like they could very well play a "key" element to Microsofts success in their mobile strategy going forward. We fit the bill well for what they are trying to achieve imo.
