No Boom, I don't think you're way off. As I've said before, commercialising something like this takes a different skillset, and hard decisions need to be made. I've seen it first hand. Per my last post I believe the codebase is closer to completion than not, and even if you had to set up a completely new team, it can be delivered.
My eye is on David W. I'm not convinced he is CEO material. However, he is the key person in Thredit, and is in the hot seat for the moment. On listing and soon after launch I would like to see a seasoned CEO put in place.
Ananda is not a software guy, and is just repeating what he is told by David W. Although I am not happy with the newsflow, we are getting to crunch time when that HAS to improve.
It is almost certainly nowhere near as bad as the ONE source says, although it might not be completely smooth. Can we get to launch? Yes, I think so.
Will it be perfect? Maybe not.
Does that matter? Depends... As long as the key functionality is in place and the UI is easy to use and fully functional, then anything else can be handled post-launch.
It is not without risk and clearly not a match for everyone's risk profile, however, I am sure that patience will be rewarded.
