there is some data - you just ned to go throu some of the (now very) historical doco's ........re corp acquisitions in years previous !

as you know - here in Oz, E&P do NOT have to release PDP / PDNP / PUD by reserve/resource category .......(required by law in usa / uk etc) .....

so even "1p" numbers in Oz do NOT tell investors all they should know abt forward c/flows and capital........

I agree - a merger between the 2 co's does make sense .........it wont "add" much value !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......it "will" (imho) provide a long-dated option over future gas (low co2, at least some liquids) as back-up, additionial feed ......market probably wont "pay for it" in the short term .......
