MEI had a pause in trading (after a rise in SP) at 11:37, followed by a Trading Halt at 11:47 on 15/3/2019
"pending the release of an announcement regarding a potential acquisition."
and FAU had a pause in trading at 11:53 followed by a Trading Halt at 12.31 on 15/3/2019 for a
" material announcement to the market of results from the drilling program at the Company's Gimlet Project."

On 13/3/2019, FAU entered a JV Agreement with WWI re Tambina Gold Project

Dr Tunks is the Managing Director of MEI and viewed as a deal maker.

MEI has been languishing badly.
One "duster" after another- the latest being Joyce (15/3/2019)

Dr Tunks has reportedly been seeking a gold acquisition outside Canada, where they have been unsuccessful.

THE SCENARIO being suggested is
MEI has $2mil cash and possibly with Tolga's backing, they can easily raise the capital needed to take over FAU which currently has a MC of $3.4m.

Some on the MEI threads are "confident" of this concept, others see it as unlikely. Some are talking of a "multi-bagger".

In MEI half yearly report, 15/3/2019, page 10,MEI are expecting results from their Webb Diamond Joint Venture in Q1 2019.

DEAL / NO DEAL ?
Of course we will have to wait till the announcement, but no harm in considering the scenario.
