I was put on the spot and the interviewer asked me what my most 'disappointing' stock has been. I was not even planning to discuss MEP, and that's what came to mind! This has more to do with the divergence in share price/value creation, rather than disappointment in execution.
Still, I did make the point about lack of awareness about MEP globally. To me, it seems SprottUSA (my brokerage) is the ONLY brokerage in all of North America that is paying attention here. And I'd imagine very few in Europe as well.
I discussed MEP starting at about 13 minutes 40 seconds into the interview, and it only lasts for about 90 seconds. While I specifically mentioned Beaver Creek as a conference that would be great for MEP, there are many other options. I will actually be attending the London 121 in November: https://www.weare121.com/121mininginvestment-london/
Companies can no longer register for this year. But there are PLENTY of Aussie companies attending, and I think something like this could be a big deal for MEP exposure, perhaps in 2019. They also have conferences in other parts of the world, like New York and Hong Kong.
Anyway, I thought I'd share this in case anyone else feels the same way. Keep in mind I am happy that things have only started looking up since I did this interview! If anything, I hope some of the listeners from North America or Europe check out MEP right now for the first time, and realize there's lots of hidden value here.
