I was having a browse through Sheffield resources recent reports (they are building a massive 7.5Mtpa plant in WA), interestingly they have noted that long term ilmenite prices have increased materially from their BFS - noting a long term forecast of US$208/tonne for LTR ilmenite (FOB), previous estimate of US$183/tonne...
This compares to Melior's US$204/tonne in the investor presentation dated 13th September... I know this isn't material by any means, however it's good to know that LT forecasts across other companies are similar - it is also good to know that sheffield are spending A$463M of capital to bring their plant into production, while we are restarting an existing plant with minimal capital spend. Our 200kT production will be absolutely dwarfed by Sheffield, but it is obvious that the demand warrants the new supply and therefore MLM (if merger proceeds) could be a winner from having earlier production.
