The article notes that First Cobalt (has gone from 5 cents to a peak of $1.44, nice 30 bagger over the last 2 years) the owner of the refinery, is permitted to treat "North American feedstock" - interesting.

It also points out that there are early cashflow opportunities for treating "muckpile" (tailings) - interesting.

The cobalt/silver ore in the area is sulfide ore which contains a lot of arsenic. There's plenty of options for high grade sulfide concentrate, even shipping it out by truck far off locations for treatment could very well be economic given the relatively small amounts of concentrate that need to be moved.
