PATTERSON VETERINARY AND MEDIVET AMERICA ENTER DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
July 2, 2013 (Devens, MA) - Patterson Veterinary announced that it has entered into a partnership with MediVet America, a leader in veterinary stem cell technology and regenerative medicine, to distribute stem cell and platelet-rich plasma kits, as well as associated tissue processing equipment to veterinary practices nationwide.

MediVet's line of stem cell therapies and equipment is a strong addition to the Patterson Veterinary portfolio of cutting-edge technologies, focused on enhancing the level of care veterinarians provide in order to improve the lives of their patients." Patterson and MediVet also have developed an educational platform for veterinarians to learn more about stem cell therapies and how these therapies are being used to help improve quality of life for animals.
Adult animal stem cell technology uses the body's own regenerative healing power to help treat dogs, cats, horses and other animals suffering from painful arthritis, hip dysplasia, tendon, ligament and cartilage injuries and other ailments. The adipose (fat) derived stem cell kit allows for same-day harvest and application of an animal's own repair cells derived from fat tissue.
MediVet CEO Jeremy Delk said, "Our team at MediVet is extremely excited about this partnership with Patterson Veterinary and we look forward to bringing the gold standard in veterinary regenerative medicine to Patterson customers."
According to MediVet, more than 550 veterinarians in 47 states now perform the drug-free procedure entirely in their own clinics.
