Well Groberts, call me a glass half empty bloke, but when you say

I'm finding it hard to believe that Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is the new "cancer cure" when its been touted for years as a cure for everything. I quote an internet source which says

"Apple cider vinegar is a helpful health tonic that has shown promise in helping diabetes, cancer, heart health, high cholesterol, and weight loss, and for years."

I think it will take more than a bit of re-invention of a grandmother cure-all to get this SP out of the cellar.
