Media coverage on shark warning system, page-26

It’s great to see the Shark Warning System gaining some traction - State and Local Govt are not known for things to happen quickly nor being agile in their policies or deals. Having a toe in the door and to have a growing number of local Govt trialling & placing the system gives a massive first mover advantage to SP3.

However I feel that the SP3 system as a stand-alone is probably only suitable for more remote, lower population beaches.

Large scale success will require a tie-up (JV or similar?) with a solid shark detection system. There was mention  on another thread about a company using drones successfully for this purpose.

This is exactly the type of pairing the warning system needs to feed it alerts so it’s not dependent on human sighting and notification of the sharks. There is also another ASX outfit I am aware of with a shark detection system although I don’t know much about it or if it even works I think the ASX code is SM8.
