Shire unfazed by port iron ore exports

The Esperance Shire says it is not concerned about the iron ore company Cazaly Resources exporting through the Esperance Port.
Cazaly has been blocked from exporting through the Kwinana and Fremantle ports and plans to ramp up production through Esperance over the next year.
Fremantle MP Adele Carles says the dust from the iron ore could pose a health risk for residents in Perth.
However, the Esperance Shire president, Ian Mickel, says provided Cazaly Resources complies with safety regulations, he is not concerned.
"As safely as possible and in the very cleanest manner
"The iron ore will have to be contained within the negative pressured sheds and in conveyors that are fully enclosed. That's essential."
