It could be somebody trying to entice people into panic selling. It could be somebody who's over-extended themselves (I know I'm perilously close to that situation myself; too many tempting bargains out there at the moment ... don't worry, I'll have that fixed in about three weeks). Or maybe they just need the cash for other purposes.

I wouldn't read too much into it right now. Sit tight, wait for things to happen, and close out your position only if you have no other choice, would be my opinion (disclaimer: I am not giving advice. I am not licensed to give advice.
