I refer to your email below regarding Matrix Oil NL (Subject to Deed of Company Arrangement) ("the Company").
As you may already be aware, at the Meeting of Shareholders held on 5 October 2004, which was adjourned and subsequently reconvened on 27 October 2004, the existing proposal to restructure the Company did not proceed due to some of the major shareholders deciding that they no longer wished to support the proposal.
At present, the Deed Administrators are reviewing new proposals to restructure the Company . However, given the complexities surrounding a restructure, I am unable to advise when, should the restructure be successful, the Company will be re-listed on the ASX. However, it is unlikely that a resolution about the Company's future will be determined before the end of this financial year.
