Surgao is north east on Mindanao, a strong catholic region. The mad mullahs are in the south and along the coast to Zamboanga.
LAF has the first new mine to be commissioned in the Philippines in over 30 years-starting in about 6 weeks on Rapu Rapu, an island in central part of the Philippines.
AS to the PEL announcement-simply playing around through old workings. Basic confirmitry stuff, a long long way to go before you get a creditable mineable reserve. The Philippinos are still the best underground operators around so costs would be comparatively low if there is enough left to mine.
