Only if they are fearful of reprisal for not taking on a religious doctrine that may be out of accord with their own inner spirit. If one wishes to discover inner windom, love and power then one can look within thru meditation & reflection and over time discover their essential nature . An essential nature that is unencumbered by the overbearing will of men (who exhibit conditioned minds lacking a wisdom within to know that they cannot caste the first stone).
Be free. Endure the torments of others. Journey solo. And the heavens of all religious wisdoms thru the ages shall open to those who yearn for freedom from suffering.
