I think a few on the LYC threads have made a similar mistake you have. MSCI has nothing to do with the ASX200(XJO). The document above is for their own GI Index which is heavily used by many funds across the globe. This is why whenever an adjustment is made either in or out it generally is accompanied by heavy volume as funds need to rebalance.
The ASX200 is run by Standard & Poors in conjunction with the ASX. It is more a local influence than global influence. LYC has not been dropped from the ASX200.
