ASX ANNOUNCEMENT – 21 December 2007 MARINER’S TAKEOVER BID FOR BEYOND INTERNATIONAL (BEYOND) (ASX:BYI) • Close of takeover bid for Beyond Mariner Financial Limited (ASX:MFI) announces that the offer period for the off-market takeover bid by Mariner Acquisition No.8 Pty Limited (Mariner) for shares in Beyond International Limited (Beyond) ended at 7.00pm on 20 December 2007. The bid lapsed at that time and contracts resulting from acceptances of offers made under the bid became void due to the non-fulfillment of the minimum acceptance condition. In accordance with Listing Rule 3.3, Mariner Financial advises that: (a) the percentage of securities in the bid class (ordinary shares in Beyond) in which Mariner and its associates have a relevant interest is 19.99%; and (b) compulsory acquisition will not proceed.
