I think you got it right with the "disappear altogether" bit.
IMO the MIS business model is not about creating something sustainable over a long period of time. Its about making high amounts of fees from investors, making sure the project is long enough that you can exit before paying them, getting shareholders and bankers to believe that the fees are sustainable (and therefore bidding the price of your stock up to 10 times unsustainable earnings) and then exiting before the MIS investors, shareholders and bankers work this out.
Does anyone really believe that agriculture is that lucrative that you can take out the level of fees that MIS companies do and still return money to the MIS investors?
TIM has been very successful business in executing the above as has GTP but its the people believing that the model is sustainable that will end up losing out. Bottom line is that if you dont understand the MIS projects dont invest in TIM shares.
