megmarble, you're not missing much! Except the fact that in the spec investing game you need to see the vision before it becomes a reality, and you miss out on the real returns. You can wait for revenue and for the idea to be proven but then you make some gains. If you do your own research and fundamentally believe in an idea then you back it and if you are right then you get big returns. I'm not saying bet the house on it, but its looking more and more as a solid investment for those who weren't around before the SPP. If i was in back then, I would feel what you are feeling too, and in this field you have to put emotion aside and take things for what they are worth, or you think they are worth. If you think this is another ploy to fleece people of their money, then I say pull out before it too late. I personally don't and so here I am, I am in.
