The volume so far today its around 2.3mill. Looking back to the start off this year average daily trading volumes were around 0.5mill up to the 20th of January. I believe that some moderate shorting took place in this period as the SP fell from 1.60 to 1.45.

Then the serious shorting began 21st January to the 12 of February with 3 daily volumes over 3 mill, 3 days over 2 mill and 4 days over 1 mill. I realise that all this selling wasn't caused by the shorters but most of it was.

The point I'm trying to make is How bad is the short squeeze and how many millions of shares do they need to pick up to cover their positions.

Remember only 2.3 mill have traded today.
