Sydney - Wednesday - Sep 3: (RWE Australian Business News) - Epsilon Energy Ltd (ASX:EPS) says magnetic data modelling has further clarified zones of interpreted magnetite-rich iron ore and refined the targeted drilling zone within its 100pc-owned Mardie Iron Ore Project, in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. The magnetite target is interpreted to be the Brockman Formation, and is based on geophysical data and computer modelling, as well as interpretation by both independent and internal geoscientists. The recently identified zones have been interpreted to represent the most economically viable zones of magnetite mineralisation; these lie along the southern portion of the anomaly with a strike length of 4km and are interpreted to be the iron-rich Brockman Formation.

Managing director Mr Matt Gauci said the company was "very pleased" with the results of the modelling, identifying several relatively shallow magnetite targets and enhancing the prospectivity and potential economics of the project. Ground magnetic and gravity surveys are now set to start, to further refine magnetite targets for drilling and to locate potential hematite targets within cross-cutting fault zones. Further magnetic and gravity surveys will be undertaken in conjunction with computer modelling over the coming quarter to refine drilling targets. Drill rigs are being sourced for a diamond drilling program, which is expected to commence during the December quarter on receipt of final program of works approvals.
