The problem is that most are unaware how it is able to take place in plain daylight and under everyone's gaze. It is done through abuses of the systems that allow algorithmic trading and short selling. Once everyone realises how prices are set and maintained to suit trading and corporate agendas with ASIC's tacit approval, there will be outrage.  The below article about manipulation of a few AScX companies doesn't hit the nail on the head exactly but it's good to see some smaller media organisations speaking out about this manipulation which has turned the ASX into a casino
