Excellent point that.
That's evidently why QANTAS has never raised the matter with Emirates. QANTAS is clearly on such solid ground in this. The airline is evidently comfortable on all points regarding the presence ( or absence ) of gay people in the UAE and on whether or not these people may be subject to persecution and repression.
Being such a principled entity, QANTAS would of course never have entered into any JV/ code -share arrangement with Emirates if it had heard any hint of the existence and more to the point the persecution of gay people in Dubai and the UAE.
So logic tells us here that yes QANTAS must be satisfied there mustn't be any gay people and certainly none being persecuted, hounded or locked up in the home base of Emirates in the UAE.
