Now the Chinese are offering plenty of incentives to the various African Governments, Australian companies could get a hard time if the politicians and newspapers think that these companies could have offered a lot more without any strings attached.
In Malawi, the Opposition thinks that the concessions offered by the Malawi Govt. are not on apart from the secret contract.
One should bear in mind that either the Govt can be pushed to do more or alternatively, the now Oppostion may be tomorrow's Govt and could reverse the situation.
Investors need to take that into account so they don't have to wake up one morning with a headache after suddenly finding out that their Company operating in Africa is having problems.
